A sweet and fizzy cocktail that is great for the holidays. Ginger and cranberry mix together wonderfully and the gin comes through just slightly. Sip this while sitting by the fire or the Christmas tree.

Tis the season to drink and be merry! Isn’t that what the holidays are all about? Well, okay I guess they are about giving and family and making great memories but all these things are happening while eating amazing foods and sipping on delicious drinks. This festive drink has the classic seasonal cranberry, mixed with ginger and gin to make a fizzy cocktail that is

I am going to completely honest with you guys. I have never liked gin. When I first started dating my husband that is all he drank. Gin and tonics. I personally thought they smelled like a pine tree and couldn’t stomach the taste either. Ever since then I never understood how anyone could enjoy gin. It was so gross to me and I just didn’t get it.
One day my husband splashed a little ginger ale over his gin because we were out of tonic and my mind was changed! How could I have written gin off so easily!? Mixed with the ginger ale it was DELICIOUS! My creative brain started spinning. What other flavors could I mix it with!?

This discovery that gin is not the worse thing to happen to me came just in time for the holidays. I researched all the different flavors that would pair well with ginger but still have a festive twist. Step in cranberry. These two flavors go so well together. They are both sweet but with a little zing and the ginger ale gives it the perfect little fizz.
And to all those peeps out there like me who don’t love gin, this is the gin drink to try. Somehow that pungent taste of gin mixes so well with the other flavors. It is the perfect balance of sweetness and boldness and let me tell you these are dangerous. Dangerously good of course, but just the same dangerous. Sip on these slow so you don’t end up passed out under the Christmas tree.
This drink would also be great non-alcoholic. Omit the gin for a sweet festive drink.
